Entrepreneurs close the gap between an innovation and the market. They ensure and manage innovations and enable finance and further development in order to bring them to the market. This involves creative new business models as well as identifying market opportunities.

Who is this For?

This programme is designed specifically for students with strong entrepreneurial ambitions where students will be able to nurture their entrepreneurial character through the highly practical programme and academic subjects. The programme is a highly practical programme designed specifically for students to nurture their entrepreneurial ambitions and enable new ventures through an academically rigorous, directly relevant and highly practical learning experience.

Programme Description

The Diploma in Entrepreneurship is open to all individuals who are either considering an entrepreneurial career pathway or have taken the first step of their entrepreneurial journey. This may involve forming a business based around new technology, developing a social enterprise, pursuing an opportunity in the creative media, or taking an innovation forward within a larger or more established organisation. The programme runs as a series of distinct and assessment areas – entrepreneurial awareness and skills, managing the operation, opportunity recognition, preparing and implementing the business case.

Programme Aims

It aims to equip students with entrepreneurship concept and foundation in business operation, management and financing which is vital in running an organisation or skills required for a managerial role also to teach students to apply real world business application of key management concept using the tools and techniques taught in the subjects.

Career Prospects

One of the best things about pursuing a career as an entrepreneur is the wide possibilities. There is room in many economies throughout the globe for entrepreneurship especially in industries where wealth creation is possible be it in the IT industry, fast moving consumer goods, creative services, media, engineering, manufacturing, or small and medium businesses.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM with 3 credits in any subjects
  • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 3 subjects
  • Other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution of Government of Malaysia
