This programme is designed for the individual looking to gain training in the theoretical and practical aspects of modern marketing communications. Graduates will be able to perform advertising/communications functions using a variety of media techniques.
The programme is designed to examine theories in each of the marketing communication elements (advertising, public relations, sales promotion, direct marketing), offering a balanced academic and “hands on” pragmatic program of study with the technical and conceptual skills required to visualise ideas and messages in executing an advertising marketing communications campaign.
The aim of this programme is to provide students with a comprehensive view and understanding of the theory and applications of communication, practical skills and critical thinking skills to implement ideas and strategize projects.
A graduate can work as a marketing coordinator, marketing assistant and an account executive. Marketing personnel are employed locally and internationally in retail, industrial, commercial firms and advertising agencies.
