Foundation In Sciences

The programme has been design to provide SPM holders a pathway to pursue their bachelor degree in KLMUC in an environment where state-of-the-art facilities with computer labs are provided. Students can move on to a Bachelor Degree to pursue a career in the science field, namely engineering, health sciences and information technology.

Who is this For?

For students wishing to go on to study medicine, natural, life sciences or pharmacy at university, the KLMUC Foundation in Science course provides all the academic preparation required to pursue this route. The traditional academic subjects are combined with English language and study skills to prepare students for further education.

Programme Description

This programme is designed to provide a pathway for undergraduate degree programmes in Information Technology or Engineering majors. The syllabus are focused in preparing students for the challenging undergraduate studies environment through problem solving, analytical thinking, organisation skills, research, computing skills and independent learning skills. Students will be technically equipped with the necessary skills and foundation to pursue further education in the highly challenging environment.

Programme Aims

Equip students with the prerequisite subjects for undergraduate studies applicable for the Faculty of Management, Business & Technology and Faculty of Engineering.

Career Prospects

The Foundation in Science programme is fully accredited and as such, students can use the certification as an entry to various local and foreign higher learning institutions. Students can also pursue the following in KLMUC:

• Bachelor of Science (HONS) in Information Technology

The foundation certification can also earn a student a place within the medical, dentistry, pharmacy, biomedical science, physiotherapy, biotechnology, building surveying & quantity surveying faculties of other university.

Entry Requirements

• SPM with 5 credits including Mathematics and any one of the Science subjects
• Other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia
